COVID UPDATE: We are unlikely to open before June 2021 and await further information about arrangements. In normal circumstances we are open every weekend from Easter to Christmas.

MuseNews 2020: Dates for your Diary

We regret that due to the current Coronavirus situation the museum was not able to open its doors to the new 2020 Exhibition in April. The exhibition will open at some future date when it is considered safe to do so.

Museum originally due to open Saturday 11th April

New Exhibition for 2020. Rumoured to be on aspects of Dollar History, including local witchcraft! Watch this space for further details.

Annual Outing

We regret that due to measures taken to limit the spread of coronavirus (covid-19) our Annual Outing planned for Thursday 16 April to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum was cancelled.

 Dollar Gala

Scheduled for  Saturday 6th June but postponed due to coronavirus.

Annual Strawberry Tea

Regrettably also cancelled:  Thursday 23rd July, 2.30pm – 4.00pm in the Burnside Hall for our summer event. As usual we also have a number of stalls selling baking, books and items from our Museum Shop. Come and make an afternoon of it.

Thursday 29th October – A.G.M.

This is to be a virtual meeting. Please join us for 7.30pm for our Annual General Meeting. Details to be circulated to members in advance of the meeting.

November – Quiz Night

A popular event for teams up to six people. Tickets include supper, and refreshments available. Come with your friends and enjoy the evening.  Venue: Academy Dining Hall, starts 7.30pm.

Saturday 5th December – Dollar Christmas Fair

We usually have a stall at the Dollar Annual Christmas Fair.
