Museum ready to open from Easter 2021
Exhibition for 2021 – including a new history of Dollar timeline, the Dollar Flood, the Fair and local witchcraft! There are also new exhibits. Watch this space for further details.
Annual Outing postponed due to Coronavirus situation – possibly to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow in April or May 2022.
Originally set for Saturday 5th June 2021. Now may be held in August.
Annual Strawberry Tea
Cancelled for 2021. Our summer event is usually held on an afternoon in July, from 2.30pm – 4.00pm in the Burnside Hall. We usually have a number of stalls selling baking, books and items from our Museum Shop.
October – A.G.M.
Last year we held a virtual meeting on Zoom. Will advise arrangements in due course for our 2021 AGM. Details will be circulated to members in advance of the meeting.
We are not yet sure whether we will be able to hold our very popular Annual Book Sale in November.
November – Quiz Night
LATEST: Might be a virtual event via Zoom. Looking forward – this has become a fixture on our calendar. To be arranged. A popular event for teams up to six people. Usually – tickets include supper, and refreshments will be available. Come with your friends and enjoy the evening. Venue: Academy Dining Hall, starts 7.30pm. This year – possibly held as a virtual event. Watch this space for more information nearer the time.
December – Dollar Christmas Fair
We usually have a stall at the Dollar Annual Christmas Fair.
