In 1999 the Museum was able to purchase and convert the flat above its existing property. This was achieved with the help of the Heritage Lottery Fund. We now have a light and comfortable research / reading room with facilities for consulting reference material, including:
- A large collection of old photographs of Dollar people and places
- Folders of material from past exhibitions
- Dollar Magazines from 1902 to the present
- Local reminiscences
- Old maps
- Graveyard inscriptions
- Record of Lairs
- Valuation Rolls
