HOW TO FIND US

Research

In 1999 the Museum was able to purchase and convert the flat above its existing property. This was achieved with the help of the Heritage Lottery Fund. We now have a light and comfortable research / reading room with facilities for consulting reference material, including:

  • A large collection of old photographs of Dollar people and places
  • Folders of material from past exhibitions
  • Dollar Magazines from 1902 to the present
  • Local reminiscences
  • Old maps
  • Graveyard inscriptions
  • Record of Lairs
  • Valuation Rolls
  • Photographs of the Devon Valley Railway
  • Dollar Foundling
